Stabilizers are a type of interfacing that is attached to the back of the project to add stability for stitching, embellishing or embroidering. They give your Quilting a professional finish.
The stabilizer gives the piece another layer of stiffness and another layer of fibre for the stitches to grab onto, especially with light-weight fabrics, or with thread painting.
Using stabilizers for quilting will change your quilting for the better, giving a pucker free finish to decorative stitches, machine embroidery or your appliqué.
