Authorities in our business will tell in no uncertain terms that Lorem Ipsum is that huge, huge no no to forswear forever. Not so fast, I'd say, there are some redeeming factors in favor of greeking text, as its use is merely the symptom of a worse problem to take into consideration.

Product Care

Anyway, you still use Lorem Ipsum and rightly so, as it will always have a place in the web workers toolbox, as things happen, not always the way you like it, not always in the preferred order.

Imperial Collection: Honoka is a Coordinating Collection of fabrics. The limited edition range features gold metallic accents highlighting  Asian birds, cranes, flowers, cherry blossoms, vines, foliage, and tiles. The ornate designs are imperial indeed, adding sheer luxury to any Quilting, clothing, home decor or sewing project.

Reasons to choose Imperial Collection Honoka:

  1. Special Edition – Exclusive Prints that wont be repeated.
  2. Pure Splendour – A plush collection of textured metallic tonal floral and geometrics, with pattern repeats in an allover patterns
  3. The Quality Component – Printed fabrics boast a superior quality at 4.3 oz. per square yard. Printed in Japan on a grade AA, 100% cotton base cloth.

Robert Kaufman Quilting Fabrics are made from 100% premium cotton and are easy to care for. Pre-washing Fabrics before stitching is a personal preference.
Most dyes are stable and generally do not run. If in doubt, pre-wash. Wash a test piece first to check for dyes running and shrinkage.

Care Recommendations:

  • Delicate Hand wash / Machine wash cold on delicate cycle.
  • Wash Lights and Dark Colours Separately.
  • Use a mild, bleach-free detergent suitable for washing for cottons.
  • Tumble dry on a very low setting to reduce Shrinkage, for a short while.
  • Iron on Cotton settings. Spray Starch will return crispness to the fabric for easier cutting.

Metallic Cotton Prints need Special Care.

  • Hand Washing is recommended (or machine wash on delicate). Hang out to dry in the shade.
  • Do not allow fabric sit in water for long periods of time.
  • The metallic thread can weaken or tarnish in water.
  • When ironing, use a pressing cloth on a medium temperature setting.

Quilting is a modern form of art

Quilting is evolving in sew many new and exciting directions. It has become more about creativity, design, and innovation rather than focusing on pure technique and traditional piecing. Projects have taken on new dimensions and are approached very differently. Modern sewing and quilting machines, and new quilting methods like ruler-work and computerized-quilting have transformed the world of quilting. Types of Quilting Fabrics and notions have also improved and expanded. One of the fastest growing crafts world-wide, patchwork and quilting appeals to a much wider audience of sewers of all ages. Quilties globally are building new friendships and communities, physically and virtually. We are proud to be part of this impetus.
